Bringing Back Real Food

Seafood One: Fish

Join Loaf and fish expert Lap-fai Lee for a hands-on evening learning the art and science of fish preparation and cookery. Many people are scared of fish preparation when it’s something that our parents and grandparents did routinely. This three hour workshop aims to take the fear out of fish and give you the knowledge and skills to go home and start enjoying preparing fish in your own kitchen. It’s actually pretty quick, easy and fun when you know how!

Using the freshest possible fish from Birmingham’s excellent wholesale market, you’ll also be introduced to both Asian and European fish cookery and sit down to eat at least five fish dishes at the end of the evening. Dishes vary according to season and freshness but you can be sure of a fantastic fishy feast.

The course usually takes place on a weekday evening and starts promptly at 6.30pm and finishes at 9.30pm at Loaf’s high street cookery school on Stirchley High Street in south Birmingham. You’ll feel right at home at Loaf, and everything you learn will set you up for bringing your own kitchen alive.

All refreshments, equipment, recipes and aprons are provided.
