The street food feast you’ll cook on this course will transport you to the street corners of Kolkata, Mumbai and Delhi.
Monica of The Spice Club will take you on a guided tour of the spice box and teach you the best techniques for making the perfect paratha from scratch. You’ll learn how to make Pudina chutney, Pyaaz Pakoras, Lime Onion salad, Lacha Paratha and grilled Chicken Franki, following traditional recipes from Monica’s family repertoire.
Monica is passionate about what home-style Indian food is really about: fresh ingredients, home-made spice blends and family recipes made with love and a sense of history.
It’s a very hands-on workshop where you’ll see or do all of the recipes involved and of course, we’ll be eating everything we prepare throughout the evening too, so arrive hungry!
This course usually takes place on a weekday evening from 6.30pm to 9.30pm at Loaf cookery school on Stirchley High Street in south Birmingham. You’ll feel right at home at Loaf, and everything you learn will set you up for bringing your own kitchen alive.
All refreshments, equipment, recipes and aprons are provided.
